See the list below for some available resources on services. For any member overwhelmed by the cost, ENC may be able to provide some financial support for paddling skills instruction through grants to members with financial needs.&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:info@explorenorthcoast.net\" target=\"_blank\">Contact us<\/a> to learn more about ENC grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Instruction and Guiding<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/americancanoe.org\/education\/take-a-paddling-class\/course-calendar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ACA Education Course Calendar<\/a> &#8211; If you&#8217;re looking for formal instruction that isn&#8217;t available locally, this section of the <a href=\"https:\/\/americancanoe.org\/education\/take-a-paddling-class\/course-calendar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ACA site<\/a> will list various types of courses held throughout the United States.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.americancanoe.org\/Account\/OnlineCourseLogin?returnUrl=%2FOnline-Courses%2FPresent%2FPaddlesports-Safety-Online-Course\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Paddlesports Safety Online Course<\/a> brought to you by the ACA and U.S. Coast Guard. This FREE course covers many critical paddling topics such as equipment selection, securing a boat to your car, planning a successful paddling trip for a group, waterway hazard awareness, safety during challenging weather, and rescue protocols.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kayaktrinidad.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kayak Trinidad<\/a> offers paddlesports instruction and guiding in the beautiful seaside village of Trinidad, California. Kayak Trinidad offers a variety of services for all paddling levels, including beginner friendly lessons, whale and wildlife tours in Trinidad Bay, and advanced instruction and coastal exploration. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"rental\"><strong>Rentals (contact in advance for availability)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/centeractivities.humboldt.edu\/feeds\/feeddetails?feed=86686668-94db-4e7b-aab7-c0dfae8832f2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center (HBAC)<\/a> &#8211; Located on the Eureka Waterfront across from Woodley Island Marina, HBAC has aquatic equipment rentals (kayaks, stand up paddleboards, and canoes). They have over 30 years of experience providing service and expertise with quality equipment for all of your outdoor adventures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kokatat.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kokatat<\/a> &#8211; anyone who is really into water sports knows Kokatat. Located in our very own Arcata, this company manufactures awesome equipment, including PFDs and dry suits. They hit the mark with quality and reliability, and stand behind their goods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pacificoutfitters.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pacific Outfitters<\/a> \u2013 located in Eureka, are outfitting specialists who hunt, fish, hike, bike, snowboard, dive, kayak, play disc golf &#8211; they pretty much do it all.
