Explore North Coast

There are a myriad of skills to practice, and this paddle will focus on what the participants are most interested in. If nobody want to practice anything, we'll just head up Maple Creek.
Remember there is a $5/vehicle parking fee at the park.

This paddle is suitable for most water craft, as long as it has bulkheads and/or flotation.
Since we'll be practicing stuff we're not great at, we might be swimming! So wet or dry suit recommended.  Also bring any gear or props you may want or need to practice the skill you want to work on.
Bring water and lunch. We can picnic at the park, on the beach, or somewhere up Maple Creek.

 We will launch at the Samoa Boat Ramp County Park and follow the mellow tide across the bay and up the Elk River, and then follow the tide back. Depending on ocean conditions, there may be some surfing opportunities at the Coast Guard rip on the way back.
Arrive in time to launch at 9. We'll be getting back to the beach around noon, so if it's a nice day we can hang out at the beach and enjoy our lunches.
Have a boat/SUP with flotation or bulkheads. Dry or wetsuit would be good, but not required (don't wear cotton).
