				1	2	3 Big Lagoon Morning Paddle Big Lagoon Morning Paddle October 3, 2026 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Big Lagoon Campgrounds, A St, Trinidad, CA 95570, USA Plan to be at Big Lagoon Boat Ramp/parking lot by 10:00AM. Launch time 10:30AM Time/Duration: 10:00AM to 1:00PM (depending on conditions) Fee: $5.00 day use fee per vehicle, $3.00 for >65 yrs old. Join us for a paddle on Big Lagoon. The direction we decide on will be dependent on conditions and what area looks like and interest of attendees. Directions: Seven miles north of Trinidad, Exit Hwy 101 at Big Lagoon Park Road County park website: RSVP Here This paddle is appropriate for a wide variety of crafts, including canoe, SUP and even kayaks! Please dress appropriately as it could be cool. Synthetic clothing, nylon shells, neoprene are OK but cotton is discouraged. Wearing a life jacket is required. 4 Humboldt Bay Sunset Paddle Humboldt Bay Sunset Paddle October 4, 2026 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Eureka Community Services/Adorni Center, 1011 Waterfront Dr, Eureka, CA 95501, USA The launch dock is south of the Adorni Center in the Humboldt Bay Aquatic Center parking Lot. Please arrive by 4:30pm. Launch time is 5:00pm. We should be back at launch by 7:00pm. Sunset is at 6:30pm. At 6:45pm the high tide will be 6.1 feet, so we may be able to navigate through some of the narrow channels on Tuluwat Island. If the weather cooperates we should have a beautiful sunset. Appropriate clothing: drysuits, wetsuits, dry tops or synthetic fabrics and layering. Please avoid any cotton. Hope that you can make it to this enjoyable social paddle. Return 2:30 PM Launch Site: Under Mad River Slough Bridge No bathrooms. Bring Snack or Lunch and drinking water Look for herons, egrets, willets, sandpipers and killdeer, cormorants, osprey and river otters . (And maybe leopard sharks - although it’s seasonally late) Paddle past local oyster farming operations. Steady wind above 10 mph will cancel. This paddle is suitable for paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. Dress for the water temperature (no cotton, please) PFD required. From 101 exit 713, drive west on Samoa Blvd (Hwy 255) for 3.7 miles. Cross over the Mad River Slough bridge and park on the right side of the road. A dirt and gravel ramp leads to the water.
