Location is Trinidad Harbor, Launch at 9 am.
Mike and Larry will be conducting an Open Water Class for the ENC members that they worked with in 2023 to improve their open water skills with the intent that they would become Paddle Hosts for ENC ocean paddles. The class will not be limited to just this core group. They also would like to invite any other ENC members that have some ocean going experience and have an interest in becoming Open Water Hosts and Guides. Of course everything will be “Challenge by Choice.” 

Experience has proven that developing one’s open water paddle skills is the path for taking one’s paddle skills to another level.

This class will focus on the following:

1. Improving boat handling skills in dynamic conditions.

2. Bracing and turns

3. How to assess conditions

4. Risk Management

5. Launching & Landing

6. Rescue and Recovery

Please be sure to give your self enough time to get to Trinidad, unload your boat on the beach, park your car, and be on the beach ready to start the class at 9AM.
